MOB's New Lips!

So my favorite label got a face lift! I don't know how I feel about the new logo yet but Im sure I'll grow to love it! Leah of MOB said about the change, "‘we’re no longer just t-shirts and hoodies, the line is expanding and growing up, we wanted a new logo to emphasize that change’. The new logo is sleek and more versatile, much like the direction the clothes are taking, while still keeping to its provocative, street style roots." Married to the Mob also re-released some of their best selling tee's with the new logo.

Bringing It Back!

Who's gonna shave off one side of their hair next? It's the latest trend for celebs such as Cassie, LaLa Vazquez, & Raven Symone. Way before them came Kelis, Kesh, Alice Dellal & J*Davey. Yesterday when Lala twit pic'd her new do, she posted a caption stating, "Cassie started the "movement" I did the "Lala Remix" lol..who will be next?feels good to let go." Now I myself knew that Cassie DID NOT start it. She is just in the spotlight nowadays so everyone knew about it as soon as she posted her pictures on twitter. I remember seeing Kesh, a fashion designer/socialite from London, on facebook and in her picture she had the "one-sided shaved do" with a heart tattooed on her scalp. Even Kelis was rocking this look dating back to 2006. Who really started this? We may never know because for all we know, there could have been a "regular" person who said "Hey, I wonder what I would look like if i shaved one side of my head?" So we can only go by dated info but we know for a fact, the "Movement" was not started by Cassie. The question we CAN answer is Who did it better?

Music Mondays

On June 30th, Naledge of the Kidz in the Hall will be dropping his solo project, "Chicago Picasso" which features appearances by GLC, Rhymefest, Mickey Factz, & Brainiac Society's own Doe Boy to name a few. Lady Gaga!!

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta seemed to have come from outta nowhere as she burst on to the music scene. Now 23, she had a talent for music at an early age. At 4, she learned how to play the piano by ear. At 13, she wrote her first piano ballad and at 14, she played open mics in New York clubs. Her eccentric style also started at a young age. She attended Convent of the Sacred Heart School in Manhattan where was teased for her quirky fashions. At 17, she was one of the 20 students around the world that received attended early admissions to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She was signed at the age of 20 and began writing for other major artists. When asked how she made it, her reply was:






"I did this the way you are supposed to. I played every club in New York City
and I bombed in every club and then killed it in every club and I found
myself as an artist. I learned how to survive as an artist, get real, and
how to fail and then figure out who I was as singer and performer. And, I
worked hard."

Her album, The Fame is in stores now which features " Just Dance" & "Poker Face". Kanye West recently appeared on The View and announced that Lady Gaga & himself will be going on tour later this year!! Now I'm really excited because this is going to be a concert full of FASHION! With Lady GaGa's crazy style and Kanye's fashion forward-ness lol, this will for sure be a show you do not wanna miss. Oh yea and their music too!

Petite ladies who are looking to gain a little length, go with a swimsuit with less fabric around the hips

Ladies With a little more "junk in the trunk" can still look sexy without completely covering up the rest of the body with a low riding boyshort.

Have a long torso? well a bikini top with a thick under bust band will give the illusion of a shorter torso

Whereas my girls with a shorter torso can wear a suit with a belt on the waist to lengthen

A suit with a deep V will create the illusion of cleavage and gathered fabric will give your bustline a little "umph" :)

To hide your belly, go for a nice high waist, retro cut bottom

A keyhole cutout near the narrowest part of your torso will draw attention away from a wide waist
